A marca Victoria - Pituka Wear

The Victoria brand

The Victoria brand

It's time to get to know one of the oldest brands sold at Pituka . In addition to its antiquity, its history is very curious and interesting.

The Victoria brand was born in 1915, in a village in northern Spain – La Rioja, when Gregório Jimenéz decided to create a shoe named after his first love, his wife Victoria. To this day, the brand's headquarters and main factory remain in the same place in La Rioja.

As for Victoria shoes, there are more than 300 different ones every season. The real secret lies in their soles , light and malleable, produced from the sap of the Hevea tree (rubber tree). The sole is vulcanized, a process invented in Spain in the 1950s, where heat and pressure are applied in a mold, directly “baking” the fabrics on the upper part of the shoes, offering greater resistance to wear.

At Victoria , the raw materials used in manufacturing are sourced as close as possible to the factory, reducing transport and consequently carbon emissions. The shoes are made with 100% eco-friendly cotton from Spain.

They recently developed the DREC project ( Dyable Recycled Ecological Cotton ), a unique cotton on the market with 30% recycled material, specific to be dyed maintaining and respecting the colors. With this project, the brand managed to reduce the consumption of raw materials by 4,500 kg per year.

I bet you didn't know how eco-friendly Victoria shoes are!
